What this book is about

Where silence screams louder than words.

Amrutha believed life would be kind to pure hearts, but fate had its own design. From Seetharamapuram’s warmth to the silence of loss, her world broke without a sound. Her husband’s sudden death left her chasing echoes of unspoken love, while her daughter Keerthana carried unseen wounds. Their story unfolds across generations—where silence screams louder than words. Through grief, loneliness, and rediscovery, they learn that healing begins when pain is finally faced. The Dark Story – Pain Never Expressed is not just about tragedy—it’s about transformation, love, and the courage to rise from the quiet ruins of the past.

Why read this book?

The Dark Story – Pain Never Expressed is not just a tale—it’s an emotion you’ll feel in every heartbeat. It speaks to those who’ve loved deeply, lost silently, and carried unspoken pain with a quiet smile. Through Amrutha and Keerthana’s journey, you’ll find pieces of your own story—of strength, healing, and the courage to face what was never said. This book is for every soul who’s ever felt too much, yet said too little.

Read the opening

A plant between the cracks

A shoot growing from a crack in the courtyard

“Uninvited. Unneeded. It’s like her.”

Keerthana spotted her father at the threshold, tying a cloth around his head, getting ready to leave for the fields.

With soft steps and a smile that bloomed like a wildflower, she walked up to him and clutched the fabric of his pant at the ankle — a tiny hand on his leg, a gesture so innocent, it would have melted any heart.

But not his.

He looked down with irritation in his eyes and without a word, pushed her aside with his foot — not violently, but not gently either. She stumbled back.

Keerthana didn’t cry. Her eyes only widened, confused.

Just then, Amrutha came running from inside, scooping her daughter into her arms. Her voice trembled — not with fear, but with pain.

“Why did you push her? She’s just a child. Your child. She only touched your leg out of affection — is that a mistake now?”

Her husband adjusted his towel and, without even looking her in the eye, pointed toward a small crack where the house wall met the ground. A tiny plant had sprouted there — green, fragile, fighting for space in a world that never welcomed it.

“Look at that. That little plant in the crack. Uninvited. Unneeded. It’s like her. She’s not special. Just a girl. One day she’ll leave this house and serve another. Why should I tie my heart to something that won’t even stay?”

There was silence.

Only the soft breath of the morning wind stirred the leaves. Amrutha didn’t reply. Her throat closed up, her lips quivered, but not a single word escaped.

Amrutha pressed Keerthana tighter to her chest, shielding her small body from the harshness of words she wouldn’t understand yet — but might carry in her bones forever.

A message to my readers

Not every story shine in light— some are born in silence, in tears that never found words. If life never lets you be the hero of your own tale, be the strength in someone else’s. Because even in the darkest stories, there’s always a heart still learning to heal… and love again.
